Swarming termites, which can range in color from light brown to black, have broad waists and straight antennae. They typically swarm in the spring or summer as they search for a new location to establish a colony.
Indications of termites are evident through blistered wood floors, droppings that look like sawdust, mud tubes, swarms, and shed termite wings.
Termites consume cellulose, which is found in wood, plants, cotton fibers, and paper products.
